ENRA volunteers visit Seven Springs, St Wendred’s Well and Favin’s Head

A visit was arranged to the Seven Springs with The Jockey Club’s permission for the volunteers who helped with the work in the Duck Pond. This is private land and there is no public access.

There was a good water level in the ‘wet woodland’ for this time of year and the springs could be seen running in the Roman Baths and at St Wendred’s Well. There was a pool of water at Favin’s Head, this area is higher and the springs there are usually the last to flow and first to dry out.

With the Springs now flowing the Environment Agency have turned off the support pump.
